Tagliabue, Francesca and Dina to Erica Dorf, 1978-1981, n.d.
Scope and Content Note
This series contains letters between family correspondents other than those between Erica Dorf and John Tagliabue which are located in Series II. There is relatively little correspondence between John Tagliabue and his wife, Grace Tagliabue. There is also some correspondence between well known relatives John Tagliabue (referred to as cousin John), a writer for the New York Times and Paul Tagliabue, former National Football League Commissioner. Tagliabue referred to his parents (Adelaide and Battista Tagliabue) in various ways including: mater and pater or mamma and babbo, both of which translate as mother and father. Grace Tagliabue referred to her mother-in-law and father-in-law respectively as nonna and nonno. Also note that there is some family correspondence between family members other than John Tagliabue, however these letters are few.
