Trip notes: "Hollywood and the Stage", undated
Scope and Content Note
The collection includes notebooks kept by Bates theater professor Robinson recording his various trips and theater tours: in particular a 1929 trip to Europe, a 1932 trip to Finland, and the publicized 1940 lecture tour to California taken on a Greyhound (he held a 15-foot bus ticket "believed longest in America.") The collection also includes travel logs and notes of his summer tours taken of the United States, Europe, and Russia from 1924 to 1945 and three scrapbooks (1933-1938) of photographs taken on his many trips abroad, particularly across Europe. These albums also contain family and Bates-related images.
