Contains correspondence, reports, programs, brochures, ledgers, and meeting books of a number of student organizations, for which the Archives has very little material. The series begins with four folders of general information relating to clubs across campus. Scope and Content Note From the Series: Contains correspondence, reports, catalogs, ledgers, and programs relating to the once-popular literary societies at Bates. These were the Literary Fraternity, the Eurosophian, Philomathean, Piaerian, and Polymnian Societies, as well as the Spofford Literary Club. The Polymnian Society later became the Military Science Club.
