Mill Workers oral history collection
Scope and Content Note
The collection documents the social, economic, cultural, and political aspects of the lives of 45 former textile mill workers in the Lewiston-Auburn area of Maine. The interviews were conducted between 2005 and 2006 in a project organized by Museum L-A, a museum dedicated to preserving the region's unique work and community history. The interviews were conducted by Andrea L'Hommedieu, a professional oral historian. The original recordings, transcripts, release forms, and summary sheets are located at Museum L-A; copies of the written transcripts and summary sheets, along with the release forms, comprise the collection at the Edmund S. Muskie Archives and Special Collections Library, Bates College.

The collection is the physical property of Edmund S. Muskie Archives and Special Collections Library.
