Abstract
These records contain a wide variety of files pertaining to the administration of Donald W. Harward, President of Bates College from 1988 to 2002.
Organization and Arrangement
The records are arranged into nine series: I. General administrative; II. Subject files; III. Speeches; IV. "The Parents Connection" newsletter; V. Reunion Notebooks VI. Keck Proposal VII. Goals 2005; VIII. Reaccreditation; IX. "Informal Letter...to the Trustees" newsletter. In addition, Series I and Series II are divided into two parts, for two separate accessions of these files from the President's office. Files are arranged alphabetically by folder title within most series; see individual series notes for more information.
