This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, meeting minutes and agenda, publications, clippings, press releases, and financial records from the tenure of Donald W. Harward as President of Bates College. These records are currently closed to researchers.

The collection is the physical property of Edmund S. Muskie Archives and Special Collections Library. Goals 2005; VIII. Reaccreditation; IX. "Informal Letter...to the Trustees" newsletter. In addition, Series I and Series II are divided into two parts, for two separate accessions of these files from the President's office.
