Ivy Day, 1878 - 1996

Ivy Day began in 1878, as a serious event at which the junior class honored the outgoing senior class with the placing of a plaque above an ivy plant on a campus building. The event grew into something of a party as the years went on, leading to its cancellation in the early 1970s after some campus pranks got out of hand. Restarted some years later, Ivy Day continues to the present day, as a senior class activity and part of Commencement activities. This subseries contains programs and invitations.
