Scope and Content Note
This series contains copies of the Bates College Charter and By-Laws (both originals and photocopies), correspondence, a program book for a dinner honoring alumnus and trustee O.B. Clason, and yearly Photo Books for members of the Board. The correspondence folders mainly concern the work of Princeton University professor Stanley Howard and that he performed for the Trustees regarding a revision of the Bates College Charter. Note also that some of the by-laws were often titled "Laws of Bates College."
