Alumni - Emma Clark Rand, 1957-1961
Scope and Content Note
This series contains records kept by Rowe pertaining to his activities and researches as the unofficial Bates historian and archivist. Most of the records date to the period after his retirement, but there are a number of documents from before 1958, as Rowe long had an interest in the history of the College. Most of the files contain correspondence, clippings, and other items that cover specific topics on the history of Bates, its founders, its early history, and its faculty and alums. In addition, there are also some files about Rowe's own history with Bates, notably folders on his graduating class of 1912, and a folder on the commemoration ceremony held before his retirement, titled "A Day for Harry."
