Correspondence, 1946-1999, undated

This series contains original letters written to Esty from the various composers from whom she commissioned the musical scores contained in Series I. Also includes correspondence with other composers, as well as with miscellaneous friends and admirers. There are several letters which include written agreements between Esty and the composer in the acceptance of the rights to the original scores. Many of the letters are in French, including those received from Claude Arrieu, Henri Sauget, and Germaine Tailleferre. The miscellaneous category includes telegrams and notes from friends.
