This series contains correspondence between Anthony and several members of the Bates College faculty and staff as well as other friends and persons with whom he was acquainted. Many of the letters are personal in nature while others concern various matters related to the College and his membership on the Board of Trustees, including the selection of honorary degree candidates, the relationship of Bates College to the Baptists and the selection of a new College president.
