Scope and Content Note
The collection is composed of material either about or by Bates faculty, staff, alumni, and other people associated with the Bates College, such as honorary degree recipients. Many of the files contain reprints of articles in magazines and journals by Bates authors, and thus, the collection serves as a "vertical files" complement to the Bates Authors Book collection, which also is housed in the Edmund S.
