The collection is comprised of miscellaneous account books and other business records received from a variety of sources and dating from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. The collection includes account books from small Maine towns (Bristol, Thomaston, and Warren), four books related to the sales and investments of the Bates Street Shirt Company in Lewiston, Maine, and a library association's account book.
