I. Correspondence, 1939 - 1948

Series primarily consists of several letters written by Gordon Corbett to his mother while a student at Bates and shortly before he enters the Army Air Corps; also includes letters written to Corbett by childhood friend and Bates classmate, George E. Antunes Jr. '43, while he is at the Naval Training Station in Newport, RI. Antunes' letters detail various aspects of the Navy including boot camp, yeoman school, and social life.
