Subseries Overview In addition to his main Senate office in Washington, D.C., Muskie maintained at least one office in Maine throughout his Senate career. For most of that time, the Waterville Office, which grew from his law office in the same town, was his main base of operations in the state. By the end of his career, however, Muskie had opened local offices throughout the state to facilitate interaction with constituents and local coordination. The files in this subseries represent the records of those offices.
